Week 5 – Hedgehogs
This week our story has been ‘Hedgehogs’ written by Roderick Hunt and illustrated by Alex Brychta.
We loved creating our hedgehogs this week out of clay. We followed 4 simple steps to be successful:
- Rip
- Roll
- Shape
- Cut
I think you will agree from the photograph they have been a huge success! They will be crawling and snuffling their way home to you once fully dried out.
From this we created an instructional text so others we know could make hedgehogs if they wanted to too!We have also become illustrators ourselves and followed step by step instructions to draw our own hedgehogs. They are looking fabulous! We have practised our scissor skills to cut out spikes for a bare hedgehog and also been wowing our teachers with our counting in Maths. It has been a very busy week.
