Welcome to our family support page.

This area of the website aims to signpost a wide range of services and activities designed to offer support to families.

Some of these may be signposting other services who you can sign up to for ongoing communication. Others may be to services to highlight locally available support or web links for information. These may also include various events, training, meetings, social events, drop ins, activities for children and so on.

Please take a look at these, as there is some great support available.

Please also look at our SEND policy and SEND Information documents for school related information.

SNAP (Special Needs Action Panel) Parent Carer Forum is a pro-active, independent forum of parent carers who all have children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

SNAP’s purpose is to improve the services provided for young people, aged between 0 and 25 years.

They are a Parent Participation Forum enabling parent carers to participate in developing and influencing local services. They work with service providers, individuals and organisations to bring a real-life perspective and experience to the planning and development of the services that families use. They focus on helping to raise the standard of Social Care, Education and Health Services within Central Bedfordshire, to ensure that these services are provided in a way that meets the needs of all disabled children and their families locally.

http://www.snappcf.org.uk/  They also have their own Facebook page.

SENDIASS ( Special Educational Needs and disability Information, Advice and Support Service), provide free and impartial information, advice and support about special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) for children, young people and carers in Central Bedfordshire.   https://cbsendiass.org/
