World Maths Day
Friday, October 16, 2015
Thank you to everyone who contributed towards our World Maths Day Penny Challenge on Wednesday. It was a great success and the children took part in lots of fun and exciting money themed activities throughout the day. We raised an amazing £190, which will be used to buy Maths resources for the school.
As part of the Penny challenge, the school came together to create an enormous swallow to celebrate the success of the day. Each class took turns to place the 1p’s within the swallow. The final result was fantastic!
Thank you for your support.
‘Big Writing’ is Back
Friday, October 2, 2015
The whole school will be participating in ‘The Big Write’ next week. We are very excited about our No Pens and Curriculum Day on Wednesday 7th October and will be using the day as our inspiration for ‘Big Writing’ on Thursday. Don’t worry if you are new to Swallowfield as a letter will be coming home to explain how it all works.
I am looking forward to reading some of the children’s fantastic writing.
