World Book Day Events
It was great to see so many wonderful characters for World Book Day on Thursday 7th March.
A big thank you to our brilliant PTFA for providing the children with a wonderful experience to see a show in relation to the stores we read.
Children in Key Stage 2 watched a performance of ‘The Railway Children’.
Children in Key Stage 1 and Foundation watched a performance of ‘The Hare and the Tortoise’.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience and loved taking about the shows throughout the day.
Fun in the Snow
The whole school had lots of fun in the snow on Friday. Please see pictures below:
World Number Day- Friday 1st February
We’re counting down to World Number Day!
All children at Swallowfield will be supporting the NSPCC on Friday 1st February by taking part in their World Number Day.
Throughout the day, we will be moving around from class to class to complete fun Maths challenges designed by the NSPCC. We are asking everyone to Dress up for Digits and pupils will be invited to wear an item of clothing with a number on it (football shirt, cap, netball shirt or other items with numbers on). To help raise money for the NSPCC, we are asking pupils to bring a donation to school, and we’d love everyone to take part in this special event.
The funds raised will be split equally between the NSPCC and the ‘Mad about Harry’ fundraising appeal.
We’re looking forward to all the fun of ‘Number Day’, and we really appreciate your support. All the money we raise will make an enormous difference to children today.
