Mental Health Week
We were very excited to be have a virtual author visit during Children’s Mental Health Week on Wednesday 7th February with Sunday Times bestselling author, UK Youth Mental Health Ambassador and A&E doctor, Dr Alex George.
Alex gave our children essential tips and advice for managing their mental health with confidence and also discussed his two books for children- a mental health handbook called A Better Day, and his latest practical activity book, A Better Day Journal.
World Book Day- Thursday 7th March 2024
We are pleased to inform you that World Book Day will be celebrated on Thursday March 7th 2024.
This annual event is an opportunity for students to celebrate the joy of reading and to share their love of books with their peers. I have included the link to the World Book Day website if you would like more information about this event.
On World Book Day, the children are encouraged to come to school dressed as their favourite book character and each year group will celebrate with book themed activities. We hope that you will support your child in participating in this special event. Encouraging a love of reading is an important part of a child’s education, and events like World Book Day help to foster a lifelong love of books. Thank you for your support
